How To React When Others Try To Bring You Down
It’s easy to feel down when others try to bring you down. No matter where you are in life, you will always have someone who is trying to bring you down. This can come from someone who is a family or friend. Sometimes it’s not that they don’t want to see you succeed but it rather they are scared what will happen if you fail. But there are also people who always want to bring you down and see you fail, those are the people we’re going to be discussing today.
The first thing I want you to understand when someone is making a negative comment towards you is that the person is feeling something negative inside of themselves. No one makes a negative comment about someone unless they are feeling bad themselves. When someone says something negative about you, it’s not personal, it’s they themselves that feel that way.
It’s easy to get mad when someone says something negative about you. You need to walk away or you will only escalate the situation. If you give into their negative comment, they’re going to see that they can get under your skin and they’re going to continue to be more negative.
It’s difficult to not react when someone says something to you. Most people will act in a rage and want to say something bad. What you say back is going to determine a lot about your personality. If you lack self-esteem, you will want to say something negative back. If you have confidence, you’ll be able to restrain yourself. When you restrain yourself, you won’t say something you regret in the future. Do the best you can to not react to what something someone has said about you and instead pause for a few seconds. When you decide to pause, you’ll be able to control your emotions and make the correct decision.
